Spaniel mix
In terms of exterior, in most cases the animal will have pronounced features of both breeds, but with greater similarity to the spaniel. These dogs typically have the same elongated body as a dachshund and an incredibly active disposition. The body of the animal will be covered with long hair, the color of the animal can be different. As a rule, a dog at the withers reaches 25–30 centimeters and weighs about 10 kilograms. Since both breeds are hunting breeds, the hybrid will have similar instincts and will therefore require long walks in the fresh air.
Dachshund and Jack Russell Terrier
The dog will be smaller than average in size, the pet is characterized by a playful disposition, the color is usually inherited from the Jack Russell, and the constitution of the dog is similar to a dachshund. Dogs are very loyal to humans and suffer greatly when alone.
Dachshund and Chihuahua mix
An active hybrid with an elongated body. The animal remembers well and follows commands. The dog's muzzle will be small, its ears will be small, erect, and set wide apart.

Papillon mix
Dogs with short legs and an elongated body, the hybrid will have a pronounced hunting instinct, the animal is very devoted to its owner.
Dachshund and toy terrier
The pet is suitable for active breeders because it has a hyperactive disposition. The animals are characterized by medium body sizes, as well as good innate hunting skills. The average weight of a dog will be 5 kilograms. Her ears will be erect, the color may be different.

Mixed breed with a shepherd
In this case, the dog will look similar in appearance to a dachshund, only its size will slightly exceed the established standards for the breed. A mestizo will always have a muzzle like a shepherd dog, and this also applies to color. The dog stands out for its excellent intelligence, good disposition and average activity. The height of the animal will not exceed 35 centimeters.
Pekingese mix
The animal has quite interesting exterior qualities; in most cases, the dog’s body is elongated, and the muzzle with a flattened nose and tail will also be akin to the peculiar “donut” of the Pekingese. As for wool, in this version you can find a hybrid with an elongated coat or smooth-haired mestizos. The color can be black and white, red or dark fawn. Dogs are small, their weight will vary between 5–8 kilograms.
Hybrid of Dachshund and Labrador
Breeders call this crossbreed a mini copy of the latter breed. The animal's legs are short, the body and muzzle are moderately elongated. In terms of contact with humans, dogs demonstrate good nature, and hunting qualities are also transferred to the mestizo. It is recommended to purchase such a pet for older people and for families with small children.
In addition to the above-mentioned crossbreeds, it should be noted that there are mixed breeds of dachshunds with collies, corgis, bull terriers, and pinschers. A cross between a dachshund and a staff dog has become quite popular recently.
Mixed Jack Russell and Chihuahua

Mixed Jack Russell and Border Collie
“Border Jacks” can be called, without undue modesty, super-intelligent dogs. After all, both parents of such a mestizo are representatives of very smart breeds. Please note that your dog needs at least 1 hour of vigorous exercise every day. The owner should not forget about intellectual activities: the dog needs to solve problems of finding hidden things, executing and learning commands. Without proper mental and physical stress, the Border Jack can become a cunning, headstrong and even uncontrollable pet.
This cross is slightly larger in size than a Jack. The coat is longer and stiffer. Color - black, brown or white.

Mixed Jack Russell and Husky
“Husky Jack” is a rather rare “mix”. This is a sociable, cheerful, friendly dog who loves to be the center of attention. A very fast dog that will chase all small animals that come into its field of vision: it is better to keep the mestizo on a leash. Please note that the Husky Jack is very active and energetic: provide him with at least 1 hour of intense physical activity every day.
Externally, the hybrid is very similar to the Siberian Husky, but it has a shorter, more compact body. “Husky Jacks” are fluffy, soft with an interesting color and a “mask” on the face.

Labrador and Rottweiler mix

Mixed Jack Russell and French Bulldog
French Jack is one of the most playful, outgoing, friendly dogs who loves to spend time with his people. This is an intelligent, but stubborn animal: to train a French Jack, you need to be able to be demanding and strong-willed.

Mixed Corgi and Rottweiler
"Rottgi" is one of the most unusual and funny Rottweiler hybrids. Depending on the dominant gene, such a crossbreed can be either a medium or large dog.

Dog breeders rarely limit themselves to one pet and get a second one. Such a decision is preceded by advance planning or spontaneous situations: friends move to another city and give up their pet, a stray puppy is found on the street, etc.
Taking a second four-legged friend is stopped by not knowing how they will get along in the same territory.
Acquaintance and communication between two dogs of different sexes is much easier than with same-sex dogs. However, the likelihood of clashes still remains. The following will help reduce the risks of possible fights:
- Different genders of pets.
- Age – if one of the dogs is a puppy, then the acquaintance will be problem-free. No adequate adult dog will show aggression towards a puppy.
- Approximately the same size of animals. The riskiest action would be to place a second male dog, but of a smaller size, with an adult male dog. On the contrary, the coexistence of a dachshund boy and a toy terrier girl in the same territory has a chance of favorable development. In addition, having a pet of a small breed and having a second small one increases the chance of satisfying the territorial needs of both.
The advantage of keeping a dachshund and a toy terrier is that even if a conflict arises, these small dogs are quite easy to separate.
