Mixed Jack Russell and Pug
“Jak” is the same miniature dog as his parents. Perhaps he will be somewhat squat than a Jack Russell. He is more plump than muscular - an excellent “warmer” for the owner. The hybrid has dense short fur, color - white, fawn, “tanned” or black.
The Jak is a fairly popular mixed breed. This is an energetic animal that requires adequate exercise. But, like the parent of a pug, a mestizo may have breathing problems - jogging and exercise should always be under the control of the owner.
By purchasing such a pet, you will get a mischievous and curious puppy, the best companion for jogging. And in the evenings - the family dog, who loves “cuddles.”

Jack Russell Terrier: brief characteristics of the breed
The Jack Russell Terrier was developed about 200 years ago. The fast, agile little creatures became very popular among hunters and are still loved by active dog owners. A brave, active dog with a sharp mind and great intelligence.
Small size contributes to the animal's skillful hunting abilities. The dog's height is usually 25-30 cm at the withers, and its weight is about 5-6 kg. The predominant color is white with black or brown spots. Based on the type of coat, representatives of the breed are divided into smooth-haired, wire-haired and long-haired. Brocken is the name of a Jack Russell with an intermediate coat type.
Mixed Jack Russell and Yorkie
Yorkie-Jacks are more similar in appearance to Yorkshire Terriers. However, they get their character from the Jack Russell - the hybrids are just as curious and energetic. These little ones need physical activity: it makes them calm and peaceful dogs at home. Unlike the “jack,” this hybrid loves to take a nap with its owner and maintains the friendliest and most affectionate relationships with the entire human family.
Most Yorkie Jacks have beautiful, long, wavy coats. Color - black, brownish, sometimes “decorated” with white spots. Be prepared: this dog's coat needs careful and timely care.

Character and training
The Parson Russell dog is friendly and active, cheerful and affectionate. He works hard and always completes the task assigned by his owner, sparing no effort. He treats people, including strangers, neutrally if he does not see a threat to the family posed by them. He strives to dominate dogs, provoking conflicts, and chases cats and rodents, succumbing to hunting instincts. Requires socialization from three months.
In training, he is stubborn - he follows only those commands that he considers necessary. Quality typical of all terriers.

The terrier is friendly with children and enjoys active games. But you should not get a dog if there is a child under three years old in the house - the dog can scare him with a loud, unexpected bark.
Mixed Jack Russell and Chihuahua
“Jackie-Chi” is a small dog, like a Chihuahua, slender, graceful, like a Jack Russell. His legs are short, slightly turned outward, his tail is hooked, and his eyes are slightly bulging. In addition, the delightful long ears of the Jack Russell are inherited.
These are wonderful animals with individual character. They captivate with their charm and love of life. More relaxed than “jacks”: after an active walk they are happy to take a midday rest. Despite their tiny size, these dogs are very independent and willful. They need an owner with a strong character, who at the same time will not surround the puppy with excessive care.

Mixed Jack Russell and Border Collie
“Border Jacks” can be called, without undue modesty, super-intelligent dogs. After all, both parents of such a mestizo are representatives of very smart breeds. Please note that your dog needs at least 1 hour of vigorous exercise every day. The owner should not forget about intellectual activities: the dog needs to solve problems of finding hidden things, executing and learning commands. Without proper mental and physical stress, the Border Jack can become a cunning, headstrong and even uncontrollable pet.
This cross is slightly larger in size than a Jack. The coat is longer and stiffer. Color - black, brown or white.

Mixed Jack Russell and Husky
“Husky Jack” is a rather rare “mix”. This is a sociable, cheerful, friendly dog who loves to be the center of attention. A very fast dog that will chase all small animals that come into its field of vision: it is better to keep the mestizo on a leash. Please note that the Husky Jack is very active and energetic: provide him with at least 1 hour of intense physical activity every day.
Externally, the hybrid is very similar to the Siberian Husky, but it has a shorter, more compact body. “Husky Jacks” are fluffy, soft with an interesting color and a “mask” on the face.

By wool type
The coat of Jack Russell Terriers is noticeably different in appearance and hair structure. In the standard description of the breed, 3 varieties are distinguished:
- smooth-haired;
- long-haired;
- intermediate or broken.
The main purpose of these dogs was to hunt foxes and other animals living in burrows. For unhindered movement in a narrow underground space, the most dense wool was required. Preference was given to smooth-haired individuals. A characteristic feature of their fur was coarse, thick and short fibers. The coat fits tightly to the skin and does not bristle in different directions. The presence of a thick undercoat protects the animal from adverse weather conditions. Proper care of a short-haired pet requires regular combing and washing once a month.
Long-haired terriers look very comical: they have a short beard, thick eyebrows and a fluffy coat. The long coat has a thick undercoat. The villi are thin and hard. This type of Russell is also called wire-haired (“stiff”). Proper care of the hair requires regular trimming - plucking out dead hairs. The manipulation is carried out by a specialist groomer. It should be remembered that animal fur can cause allergies.
The intermediate type of hairline is called brocken (“wool with a break”). It is characterized by a long, coarse pile that tightly fits the animal’s body. Dogs have no eyebrows or beard on their faces.
Another type of gestures is rough. The name comes from the English word rough - broken in several places. Rough fur coats have long, coarse, curly hairs that stick out freely in all directions.
When looking at puppies, it is difficult to determine what type of coat they will grow. Distinct signs of fur appear only upon reaching 3 months of age. When choosing a future pet, you should remember that one litter may contain babies with different hair types.
Mixed Jack Russell and Beagle
Jackby sizes vary depending on the size of the beagle parent: pocket or standard. Color can be black, brown, white. The ears are large and flexible, like those of a hound.
These are inquisitive and friendly pets who love to spend time with their owner and his family. They love traveling and going into nature because of their hunting instincts. However, the pet should still be kept on a leash so that the dog does not get carried away in pursuit of the “prey”. Please note that Jackbies, with their fast metabolism, love to eat.

Mixed Jack Russell and French Bulldog
French Jack is one of the most playful, outgoing, friendly dogs who loves to spend time with his people. He endures loneliness calmly: he simply sleeps while waiting for his owners, filling the area with bearish snoring. This is an intelligent, but stubborn animal: to train a French Jack, you need to be able to be demanding and strong-willed.
As for size, they are similar to Jack Russell Terriers. However, the mixed breed is somewhat bulkier and plumper - this is the heritage of the French bulldog. This pet has a crocheted tail, a flat muzzle, and long and cute ears.

Mixed Jack Russell and American Pit Bull Terrier
"Jack Pete" is a true terrier by nature, a playful, curious, tenacious dog with boundless energy. He is very persistent and stubborn, loves chasing games. But at the same time, he is infinitely devoted to the owner, tries to please the person in everything, which can be used during training.
For the most part, “Jack Pits” inherit the white, yellowish color of the “Jack”. Any color can come from a pit bull. The animal has short and smooth fur, which is easy to care for. The dog is very muscular and strong, which future owners should take into account.

Mixed Jack Russell and Bichon Frize
The dimensions of the "Jack Bichon" are the same as those of the parent "Jack". The most significant difference in appearance is the “fur coat”: voluminous, fluffy, but tougher than that of the Bichon Frize.
These dogs surprise with the contrast of irrepressible energy and burning curiosity with a calm and affectionate disposition. To keep your pet in a calm state, provide him with 45 minutes of physical activity every day.
This is a mixed breed whose representatives cannot stand being alone for long periods of time. They love to play with small children, cuddle and be the center of attention.

Description of breeds
Both dogs were created specifically for hunting. They are very adventurous and energetic, and therefore will need private walks. It would be best to keep them in a private house with an adjacent territory, then the animals will be able to entertain themselves and even act as a guard. Yes, because of their highly developed sense of their own territory, they are also suitable for these purposes.
Their character is generally positive and cheerful, they love games and cheerful company. They get along well with children, although they should not be left alone with a very young child. The dog may snap at very persistent attempts to cuddle.
As for physical characteristics, these are rather small quadrupeds, because they needed to climb into narrow holes.
Jack Russells grow up to 30 cm at the withers, and Parsons up to 36. The former weigh about 5 - 6 kg, and the latter about 6 - 8. The gender characteristic is well expressed, males are always larger and more powerful than females. The body format of both varieties is approximately the same; they differ mainly only in the structure of the body.
Jack Russells have a slightly elongated body of rectangular proportions. And among Parsons it has a square format, when the height and length of the body are approximately the same. The back is smooth and flexible, quite elastic. The loin is short, and there is also a slight convexity on it. The chest is long, but not voluminous. The ribs are rounded and curved, reaching to the elbows of the front legs. The stomach is beautifully tucked, the chest literally falls down to it.
The heads of both breeds have an almost identical structure. Wide skull with a flat forehead, perfectly filled space under the eyes.
The cheeks and cheekbones do not sag, the skin is elastic, without folds. The transition from the forehead to the muzzle is faintly noticeable, but the occipital protuberance is clearly pronounced. The muzzle itself is long and gradually narrows as it approaches a small nose, pigmented black. The eyes are dark and protruding; the Jack Russell's eyes are almond-shaped, while the Parson's eyes are more rounded. The ears may be drooping or raised at the cartilage area. Their structure is dense and soft, very mobile. The jaws are quite strong and strong, because these dogs had to pull out the resisting and fear-crazed prey from its own lair. Scissor bite.
The Jack Russell Terrier's limbs are shorter than those of their counterparts. Otherwise, their structure is the same. They are spaced moderately wide, with the front ones set back a little. The elbows are adjacent to the body during movement, the shoulder blades connect to the shoulders at an angle of 100 degrees. The hind legs are straight and parallel, with low developing hocks and strong angulations. The tail is medium length, straight. It is usually stopped immediately after the third vertebra, although these days it can be left in its natural form.
