Difficulties in choosing food
Owners strive to give their pets the best of what is on the market today. And the list of manufacturers is constantly growing. For example, Natures Table food for cats and dogs recently appeared in pet stores and chain supermarkets.
Yes, the choice is quite large. But too often, manufacturers add artificial colors, preservatives, and flavors to food, which can negatively affect the pet’s health. Cheap ingredients of questionable quality may be used in production, reducing the nutritional value of the product.
Therefore, in this article we will figure out what you should pay special attention to when choosing food for your beloved tailed friend.
Overview of the composition of Natures Table food for cats and dogs
Manufacturers in the super-premium segment most often choose high-quality raw materials and strive to create food with an optimal ratio of proteins/fat/carbohydrates, saturating it with the necessary micro- and macroelements.
For example, the No. 1 ingredient in Nature's Table cat and dog food is a natural source of protein (chicken, turkey, beef or salmon).
This food also includes:
- Oils and vegetable fats, fish oil.
It is a source of polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E.
- Spinach.
It is rich in iron and vitamins.
- Sugar beet pulp.
Source of dietary fiber.
- Yeast.
Source of amino acids and B vitamins.
- Chicory.
Natural prebiotic for cats and dogs.
- Egg.
Source of animal protein and vitamins.
- Cereals
. Source of energy and dietary fiber.
- And a number of other ingredients, each of which enriches the composition of the food and allows it to be truly complete.
At the same time, the food contains 100% natural and healthy ingredients that give your pet the necessary energy, maintain and strengthen its health.
It is important to note that Nature's Table diets without added:
- soybeans
- preservatives
- artificial colors
- flavor enhancers.
Nature's Table is High in Protein
. For example, in dry cat food the proportion of protein is 41%. This figure is higher than some expensive super premium diets.
When creating food, a special approach is used - only physical processing, thanks to which all the natural benefits of meat, vegetables, oils and grains are preserved.
Compound
To analyze the composition of Nature's Table, let's take the example of a dry diet for adult cats with turkey. On the packaging it is customary to arrange the components included in the order in descending order of their quantity. Based on what is in the top five of the list, one can judge the quality and usefulness of such nutrition. For the selected product, the beginning of the list looks like this:
- turkey;
- wheat;
- corn;
- rice;
- fats and oils (animal fat, vegetable oil, fish oil);
Next on the list are broth, salt, vitamins and minerals, yeast, vegetables and herbs (dried sugar beet pulp, peas, carrots, tomatoes, spinach, chicory) and in last place a chicken egg.
In terms of nutrient content, the picture looks like this:
- Proteins – 41 g.
- Fat – 14.5 g.
- Ash – 8.5 g.
- Humidity – 6 g.
- Fiber – 1.7 g.
- Calcium – 1.8 g.
- Phosphorus – 1.4 g.
- Vitamin A – at least 500 IU.
- Vitamin D3 – at least 40 IU.
- Vitamin E – at least 30 mg.
Squirrels
Turkey, indicated in the first place in the composition, is a good source of animal protein, which is well absorbed by the cat’s body. But at the same time, both its quantitative content and the form used (fresh, raw or dry) are not indicated at all. Typically, turkey refers to a mixture of raw muscle tissue, skin (with or without bones) from poultry carcasses. A chicken egg is also used as an additional source of animal protein, but since it is listed last in the list of components, it is hardly worth talking about any significant effect on the animal’s body.
Fats
Nature's Table uses 3 components as a source of fat: animal fat, vegetable oil, fish oil, which are designed to provide the cat's body with omega-3 and omega-6 acids, vitamins A, D, E to maintain healthy skin and coat. , but again their percentage content and the raw materials used are not indicated.
Carbohydrates
Wheat, corn and rice in second, third and fourth places are sources of carbohydrates and increase the overall protein content of the product. At the same time, wheat and corn are cheap raw materials that give a false feeling of fullness and can cause allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, obesity and diabetes. Since cereal components are listed first in the composition, they act as a cheap filler and provide benefits to the pet’s body, which primarily needs meat.
Additional Additives
Additional components included in Nature's Table:
- Broth is a component more often found in canned food, but is sometimes added to dry croquettes, primarily as a natural flavoring and to improve taste characteristics, and is also a weakly concentrated source of animal protein (provided that high-quality fish or meat raw materials are used. Since the raw materials used for its manufacture, the manufacturer does not indicate, then you should not trust this component.
- Salt serves as a source of minerals, as well as a flavor enhancer and a natural preservative. But since many foods and ingredients contain a natural proportion of salt, there is no need to add it additionally to avoid excess accumulation in the body.
- Yeast - used as a source of B vitamins, helps maintain healthy skin and coat, and normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.
Thus, the main disadvantages of Nature's Table dry food are the presence of a large number of grains and the lack of precise content of the components used, which does not allow us to objectively assess their effect on the health of animals. In addition, the disadvantages include the use of salt, which can provoke kidney disease, and the lack of names of substances that are used as preservatives.
Summarizing the analysis of the composition, we can conclude that Nature's Table diets can be classified as middle class only due to the fact that natural meat is used as the main component, and not grains and types of meat of unknown origin (such as meat or bone meal), characteristic for economy class products.
Dry VS wet diets. What to choose?
Most often in this matter we follow the food preferences and habits of our pets. But it happens that, for example, an animal refuses to eat dry food of one brand, but another brand is to his taste. Therefore, we recommend trying new things to find “your” food and create the necessary dietary variety.
Today we can find dry and wet food in pet stores and chain supermarkets. For example, the Nature's Table line includes dry and wet diets for cats and dry diets for dogs.
Both dry and wet food will be useful for the animal if their packaging says “complete food” or “balanced diet”.
At the same time, experts recommend feeding dogs and cats daily with both dry and wet food, because each type of food has its own additional benefits for the health of pets.
The table below provides information on how you can correctly combine these two types of diets when feeding cats. For example, for a purring pet weighing 4 kg, it is recommended to give 2 bags of wet food (so-called spiders) and 20 grams of dry food per day.
Advantages of dry food:
- Healthy gums and teeth
. Thanks to the texture of the granules, dry food provides natural mechanical cleaning of the animal's teeth and removes plaque.
- Normalization of the gastrointestinal tract
. It contains more dietary fiber, which helps maintain the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.
Benefits of wet food:
- Weight normalization
. Wet food has lower calorie content than dry food. And by using wet food, we reduce the likelihood of overfeeding the animal.
- Normalization of the urinary system
. Wet diets contribute to the intake of moisture into the body, increase the volume of urine and, as a result, reduce the risk of developing urolithiasis.
Given these benefits, it is recommended to combine dry and wet food in your pet's diet daily.

How does proper selection of food affect our pets?
If your cat or dog receives everything it needs for health and harmonious development, this is reflected in:
- Pet activities.
He plays with pleasure and enjoys life. Has natural motor activity for his age.
- Muscle tone
. If the animal does not receive the required amount of protein, the muscles become flabby over time (the body does not receive the required amount of building material).
- The state of the digestive system.
For example, Natures Table food for cats and dogs contains beet fiber and chicory, which normalize and support the functioning of the animal’s digestive system at any age.
- Condition of fur/skin.
Thanks to the content of fatty acids in the food (i.e. vegetable oils and animal fats), the pet's coat becomes soft, shiny and silky (in accordance with the characteristics of the breed).
Nature's Table food is based on natural ingredients, each of which provides health benefits for your pet.

Natures Table: reviews of food for cats and dogs
Cat food
Previously, we bought food from a different brand, but recently we decided to try
Natures Table (I noticed the natural composition without chemicals) and eventually switched to it. It does not leak out of the bag, has a pleasant smell and is very economical (convenient packaging and affordable price). Our cat ate the previous food with pleasure, but this one became his favorite treat.

I was very careful when choosing food for my Brit. From the entire assortment, I chose the Natures Table wet diet (it contains only natural ingredients and everything necessary for my pet). He liked the chicken food the most: he eats it with gusto and asks for more. Therefore, if you care about the health of your pet, I highly recommend trying this food.

Natures Table food in the store and decided to try it out.
My cat really liked it (she didn’t even let me put the contents of the bag into a bowl, she immediately stuck her head into the package and took a sample). The result is a licked bowl and eyes filled with happiness and pleasure. There are no chemicals, preservatives or soy in the composition, everything is natural (meat, eggs, cereals, vegetables, herbs, even prebiotics). Now I plan to completely switch to this food.

Dog food
Natures Table complete dry food for adult dogs of all breeds. I chose it because I liked the composition (here meat comes first, there are vegetables, rice, grains, vitamins, no flavor enhancers or preservatives). The grains themselves are slightly oily (apparently due to the content of vegetable oil and fish oil). During this time, the dog never had any problems with digestion, there was no plaque on the teeth and no smell from the mouth.
Olga
The first thing to note is the packaging design. Very stylish and comfortable, with all the necessary information in large print. It is clear that the manufacturer pays close attention to every detail. Natural composition and affordable price, especially if you buy large packages. Our dog really liked the taste of this food. So far he has only tried it with chicken, we are planning to diversify his diet and try other flavors.

Ola to everyone!) I hasten to introduce you to my new discovery (I know, I’m really slow))) I’m talking about food for adult cats called Natures Table. This is what dry food with turkey looks like:
And here’s what the manufacturer promises us: Nature’s Table – all the benefits of nature for your cat, so that she pleases you with health and beauty day after day! Well, Fima and I decided to check everything. I bought all the flavors: chicken, turkey, salmon. The chicken didn’t suit us, I don’t know why, but Fima ate without appetite, the turkey became a tramp.
Everything is written very beautifully at the back (by the way, I really liked the design): about proteins, fats, carbohydrates, about the benefits of the ingredients, about the composition, which is truly natural. The size of the granules is convenient: not large, not very small, crunchy, and do not emit any stench (well, you know what I mean).
By the way, Fima’s breath doesn’t smell either, and he has a very sensitive gastrointestinal tract to weird additives, so in principle I believe that there are no flavor enhancers or preservatives. Well, I won’t say anything about the taste of the food, of course)) But as a housewife, I will note that the drying bag is very convenient: a tight zip, stable, does not rustle annoyingly, does not fall off the shelf)) The smell does not dissipate).
By the way, the price for natural food is quite adequate))) There are 2 volumes - 190 g and 650 g, I take the second one - I don’t like to run around somewhere)) A small pack costs about a hundred, a larger one - about 300, sometimes on them discounts, then I come home hung with bags)))
In general, the food is good, we like it, Fima is cheerful and beautiful, eats with appetite)

I saw this dry food called NATURE'S TABLE in the supermarket. I decided to try it to understand what the food was like. The packaging is very beautiful and the manufacturer promises that everything here is natural! I bought a package weighing 650 grams. Cost 299 rubles. The composition of the food is more premium than economy class. The price for such food is not cheap!
I gave this food to the cats living in my boiler room for testing. They attacked him like they were not normal! I sniffed the food - the smell is very similar to dry Whiskas. The cats greedily swallowed the food and demanded more! They began to behave inappropriately. And then one cat vomited food.
It became obvious that aroma and taste enhancers were present. Otherwise cats wouldn't behave like that! Then I tried a couple of croquette food myself. And it turned out to be simply terrible! The food is so salty, like crackers for beer. This is the first time I encountered this! Cats shouldn't eat salt because it leads to kidney disease.
And here the food is so salty that people can safely eat it instead of crackers. Or salted nuts. I'm shocked! By eating this food, cats will plant buds within a couple of months! Therefore, I immediately gave the cats Kotervin just in case, so that the kidneys would not be damaged.
I felt the taste of the food was similar to a bouillon cube. Apparently these are healthy vegetables... Everything became clear to me. Apparently the Mars company deliberately wants to ruin the health of animals. Writes on the packaging about the naturalness and benefits of the food, makes beautiful and colorful packaging. And inside it is dangerous and not natural food! Don't fall for this kind of marketing ploy!
I gave the remaining food to the magpies, they can eat anything. Moreover, in winter there is almost no food for them to find in the forest. Usually I always give them leftover food so that they don’t die of hunger.
