The first ingredient is 30% dehydrated poultry, a good source of protein. The website clarifies that the bird is mainly chicken. The only other protein-rich ingredients included are powdered eggs and “isolated animal proteins.”

In second and third places in the composition are sources of carbohydrates, namely rice and barley. Behind them is chicken fat, a good source of saturated fatty acids. “Natural flavoring additives” - it’s clear what they are for, but it’s not clear what kind of additives they are.

Beet pulp is a source of fiber. Sunflower oil is a source of unsaturated fatty acids. Next in the composition are vitamin and mineral supplements. The additives E320 and E321 are used as antioxidants; they are not natural (that is, synthetic).

In 2021, the manufacturer updated the composition and now, instead of E321 and E320, a natural preservative is used - a mixture of tocopherols (essentially vitamin E).

It should be noted that E321 has not been proven to be safe or harmful. However, it is good that the manufacturer honestly indicates the antioxidant used, because many premium foods do not indicate antioxidants/preservatives at all.
