Dukes Farm dry cat food is produced in the UK, at the GA Pet Food Partners plant, commissioned by the Russian chain of pet stores Beethoven (Pet Retail LLC).
Accordingly, it is sold only in Russia. Official website - https://dukes-farm.co.uk/ (no longer working). Judging by the composition, the food belongs to the super-premium class. Dukes Farm wet food is produced in Germany, at the Landguth Heimtiernahrung GmbH plant (Pro Dog canned dog food is also produced there).
It should be noted that it is quite strange to see a site in the UK domain zone .co.uk, because the food is sold only in Russia. Most likely this is just a marketing ploy to create more trust in the brand.
Composition of Dukes Farm feed

The first two ingredients - fresh chicken 30% and poultry meal 27.3% are good sources of protein. Even if we take into account that after cooking fresh meat there will be 3-4 times less meat, we will get at least 35% meat in the finished food. Other protein sources include fresh salmon 5.1% and fresh trout 1.7%.
White rice, oats, and peas are used as sources of carbohydrates. Chicken sauce is a flavoring additive. Beet pulp is a source of fiber. “Minerals, vitamins” are supplements of vitamins and minerals listed in dietary supplements.
Poultry fat is a source of saturated fatty acids, and flaxseed is a source of unsaturated fatty acids. Seaweed is a source of iodine, vitamins and minerals. Sodium chloride is sodium salt, flavoring additive. FOS and MOS are useful prebiotics. Dried cranberries have antioxidant properties. Yucca Schidigera extract is needed to reduce the odor of excrement.
Advantages and disadvantages
The advantages of Dukes Pharm include:
- the main source of protein is meat;
- rich in vitamins and minerals;
- In addition to dry food, there is canned food;
- relatively low price (lower than many analogues).
Among the disadvantages:
- sold only in the Beethoven pet store chain;
- The composition itself does not indicate preservatives, although at the office. The website says that they are natural.
Which food should you choose for your pet?
All Duke's Farm feeding options can be divided into several main categories, which are then divided into subcategories based on breed size. So there is a line for adult and elderly dogs, for puppies and pets with digestive disorders.
For adults and elderly pets
In total, several series of food are offered for adult and elderly dogs, but there are separate options for small and large breeds (this is indicated on the packaging, you need to check when purchasing):
- Edalt Ladzh is suitable for large and medium breeds, the food contains a lot of protein and protein, and there are almost no carbohydrates;
- Edelt Mini is an option for pets of miniature breeds; it does not contain wheat or corn, which are poorly digestible. The composition is rich in proteins and medicinal herbs;
- Senor Dog is designed for older pets after seven years of life; it contains a lot of protein and phosphorus. The food strengthens bones and muscles, improves heart function.
In nutrition for adult dogs, there is a separate Sensitive line, designed for allergy sufferers and pets with digestive problems. There are also several grain-free foods that are suitable for any age - from one year to eight.
For puppies
Dukes Farm food for puppies is presented in only two options in the line.
- Pappy Laj is designed for large breed pets weighing up to 25 kg, the main component is chicken, it also contains rice and vegetables.
- Pappy Mini was created for small and miniature breeds, up to 10 kg in size, the diet is high in protein and protein, and there are almost no carbohydrates.
Regarding grain-free food, it belongs to the medicinal line and is used to prevent allergies, dermatitis, digestive disorders, diabetes and musculoskeletal diseases. There are no grains in the food at all; they are replaced with peas, potatoes, and fructooligosaccharides.
It is important that even a daily diet or a grain-free line can be used as a dietary, preventative nutrition without restrictions on the duration of feeding. But it is better to consult a veterinarian in advance.

Two years ago, a 3-month-old Scottish fold cat appeared in our house. The breeder fed her Whiskas, but I read such reviews about it that I decided to study the topic in more detail. It turned out that there are different classes of feed - economy, premium, super premium. Whiskas of course belongs to the first. The best food belongs to the latter, so I went to the pet store with the intention of taking only super premium.
Of those offered by the seller, the lowest price was for Dukes Pharm, so I took it for testing. The cat liked it, ate well and grew up on it into a beautiful, playful adult cat with shiny, silky fur. Then we sterilized her and switched to special food for sterilized ones. The situation has not changed, the cat is still so active and inquisitive, and looks great.
Overall, I was pleased with the choice, as was our cat. So I think Dukes Pharm dry food is good and recommend it!

I bought a pack of Duke's Farm chicken on the recommendation of a seller in Beethoven when our usual food was not on sale. This supposedly English food is quite ordinary: medium-sized granules, without a sharp unpleasant odor, the cat eats more or less normally, there are no negative consequences such as vomiting or indigestion.
The composition looks decent, but there is one thing. Even if it is true and high-quality raw materials are used for the feed, the story of the widespread advertising of Duke's Farm food as English raises suspicions. It is known that it is produced exclusively for Beethoven and is sold only here. Then why are there all these inscriptions in English on the packaging? It would be better if more information was written in Russian.

Our cat has been eating 1st Choice dry food for two years now, and regularly receives Dukes Farm canned food as a treat. In general, when we first bought, we wanted to take Leonardo, we read good reviews about them on the Internet. But they were out of stock and the seller recommended Dukes Farm.
The cat eats these canned foods with great pleasure, and his stool is normal. Therefore, there is no point in looking for others, especially since their composition is good. “Duck meat 35%, chicken meat 33%, broth 28.9%, spinach 1%, cranberries 1%, minerals 1%, salmon oil 0.1%.” We also thought about trying dry food from this brand, but it never came to that.
It really is turkey food!
The first five ingredients of this food please with the presence of quite decent sources of animal protein. There is not only 28% fresh turkey (ingredient #1 in the feed), but also 20% dried turkey (ingredient #3). Strangely, for some unknown reason it was translated into Russian as "turkey meal", although the Duke's Farm rating of this component is higher (dehydrated components are less processed than meal).
By the way, the words “fresh turkey” in the name of the diet are not an exaggeration; fresh meat of this bird is actually included in the basis of the diet.
Advantages and disadvantages
It's time to summarize the above and talk about the strengths and weaknesses of this product. First, about the advantages, these include:
- high percentage of protein components, achieved through fresh meat and fish;
- absence of unnatural additives and dyes;
- the presence of a vitamin and mineral complex necessary for the full functioning of the body;
- wide range of products;
- moderate cost compared to other Super Premium foods.
The main drawback is that it is not available in retail outlets, except for Beethoven pet stores. Perhaps this does not allow these products to become more widely distributed, since not all cities have this distribution network.
